Q: How long is the wait in line?
A: It depends. During our September hours, the wait is usually very short. The beginning of October, there is typically a short wait, maybe 30 minutes on a weeknight. As it gets closer to Halloween, specifically on a Friday or Saturday night, the wait can be long. The closer you come to opening time (usually 7:00 pm) the shorter the wait. We do offer a Fast Pass that offers a much shorter wait and an Skip the Line Pass has no wait!
Q: Do you charge for parking?
A: No, parking along the street is free. Please park along 39th Avenue or one of the adjacent parking lots.
Q: Is the waiting area inside?
A: Typically the waiting area is outside, however, in inclement weather we will allow open a limited amount of queue space inside of the building.
Q: How long does it take to go through?
A: Its really difficult to give an answer to this question; some groups run right through and others take their time, it really depends on how you deal with fear. The Asylum Haunted House is over 15,000 square feet, very large by comparison, so you'll be in there long enough to get plenty scared.
Q: Is The Asylum handicap accessible?
A: Yes. We do our best to be handicap accessible inside the attraction! There are a couple areas that may have to be by-passed; we provide by-passes for all guests that cannot go through certain rooms of the haunted house. Please make sure that you check in with an Event Staff employee and they will help you through the houses.

A: Yes. We have many strobe lights throughout the entire haunted house. It is not recommended for people that have Epilepsy go through the haunted house. We have strobe lights in many of our rooms and fog. We also don't recommend people with asthma, heart issues and pregnant women go through the haunted house as well. A: As far as live creatures go, there are many life-like creatures in the haunted house. If there are real animals, they will be handled by professionals.
Q: Is there an age limit for The Asylum?
A: No. However, due to the graphic nature, it is not recommended for small children, toddlers or babies. We have had young children go through and have a great time and adults who go through and are in tears! You're the parent- you be the judge. A good rule of thumb is: if you wouldn't bring your child to a PG-13 rated movie, it's probably not a good idea to bring them to a haunted house.
Q: Can pregnant women go through the haunted house?
A: We do not recommend pregnant women to go through the haunted house. We suggest calling your OBGYN and/or Physician to discuss the situation with them.
Q: If I have asthma, can I go inside of the haunted house?
A: We do not recommend people with asthma go through the haunted house. We suggest calling or emailing your Physician to discuss the situation with them since we have numerous fog machines throughout the haunted house. If your doctor thinks you’ll be fine, we definitely recommend bringing your inhaler or another device that may help you breathe better.
We also don't recommend people with epilepsy, heart issues and pregnant women go through the haunted house as well. We just want everyone to have a safe time.
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: Sorry, we know dogs are welcome at most places in Denver, however, it's just too darn scary for our furry friends at the Asylum Haunted House. They would probably be more comfortable at home with the other scaredy cats…err humans.
